Why are we going hard in the paint? As human beings, we invented lots of ways to have funand most of them involve competing with each other (or ourselves) in games and contests of various kinds.

The Netflix documentary “human playgroundexplores the diverse world of human games with episodes like “Breaking the Pain Barrier”, “Rites of Passage”, and “God’s Playground”. He even takes a look at the financial side of things with an episode called “Big Business.”

Trailer covers everything from sumo wrestling to horseback riding falconry. The trailer and six-part film are narrated by Idris Elba. Considering we’d probably be watching something called “Phonebook: The Documentary” if Idris Elba was telling it, Human Playground promises to be an engaging viewing experience.
