Saltaire Primary School on appeal for playground makeover
A primary school in the district of BRADFORD has launched an appeal to raise funds to redevelop its playground.
Saltaire Primary School is looking to convert its current playground into an area with a multitude of different areas to attract pupils at recess time.
He launched an online appeal on JustGiving with a goal of £10,000 to help the project.

Albert Road School has already raised around £9,000 separately through a host of donations, including from a parent and the co-op.
As part of the works, the school aims to build a covered outdoor classroom/learning space for up to 30 pupils and a garden where the school’s 420 children, aged 4 to 11, can help grow their own fruits and vegetables.
The school continued its fundraising efforts by holding an on-site bunny race on Thursday, April 7, as it counts down to parting ways with the Easter holiday on April 11.
Principal Rob Whitehead said the redevelopment of the school’s outdoor space will give pupils more variety and hopes the area will look different by the end of the next school year in July 2023.
He said: “We want to change the landscape and give it more variety.
“It’s a blank canvas at the moment. It is a large concrete space.
“Our playground needs attention. Our PTA, Friends of Saltaire Primary School, is really trying to make a difference.
“We want to divide the space a bit and put more garden space in it to grow fruits and vegetables.
“With the Covid pandemic, we have privileged the interior space of the school buildings so that the children feel comfortable.
“But now is the time to realize that outdoor learning is also important.
Our goal is to ensure that by the end of the next school year, the outdoor space of the school will be completely different
On its JustGiving page, The Friends of Saltaire Primary School posted: “Together with the school, FOSPS will raise funds to completely redevelop the school’s play area to its full potential.
“In the plans, there is an outdoor classroom, an all-weather field, gardens, play equipment and much more.
“We would appreciate any donations you, your friends, family and loved ones would like to make to us and we will be hosting fundraising events over the next three years to help us achieve our goals.”
