Ocean Park HK and Air World enter the metaverse with Halloween-themed NFTs

Ocean Park Hong Kong has teamed up with Air World, a Hong Kong-based tech startup to enter the metaverse by releasing Halloween-themed NFTs.

Also known as Citizen NFT AiR (AiR) Ocean Park, this series is the first NFT issue for Ocean Park. The collaboration aims to to provide a unique online and offline (O+O) Ocean Park Halloween experience in which visitors can play through a compelling story before, during and after the event.

The The limited edition contains 2,000 sets of NFTs, featuring Ocean Park characters under the Ocean Park Halloween 2022 theme.

Each NFT character is different and merchants will get one randomly after purchase. They will be publicly available on Klook, Ocean Park x AiR Citizen website and AiR mobile app, according to its official website.

This collaboration between Ocean Park and AiR Metaverse aims to provide “Metaverse-to-Go”, which adds the Metaverse experience into the physical theme park for augmented entertainment through Metaverse gateways, accessible with the AiR Metaverse mobile app. Visitors can take on the roles of different AiR citizens to defeat Halloween monsters to save the virtual and physical worlds.

AiR is a unique location-based mobile first metaverse that is tightly connected to the real world for “Play-to-Earn” and as a gamified loyalty network, according to Air World’s website.

In February of this year, Ocean Park partnered with The Sandbox, a leading decentralized gaming virtual world and a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, to create groundbreaking digital entertainment experiences in the virtual world of NFTs and games to celebrate its 45th anniversary.
