WHY: Play is essential for physical, creative, cognitive, social and emotional development. The new playground will serve hundreds of children in the Fort Mohave area. Members of the Fort Mohave community were heavily involved throughout the process. It will be the first playground in the Fort Mohave community and will accommodate over 800 children. Before construction, families had to travel about 20 minutes to the nearby town of Bullhead to get to a playground. This new play space will provide additional access to the game as well as more opportunities for creativity and teamwork.

Sponsored by BHHS Legacy and part of the 2022-23 Fiesta Bowl Charities grant cycle, Fiesta Bowl Charities awarded KABOOM! funding to help build this playground, on the 12e built in Arizona by Fiesta Bowl Charities and KABOOM! Fiesta Bowl Charities supports KABOOM! in promoting and protecting the right of the child to active play at home, at school and in the community.
