Disaster at an amusement park in India following ride malfunctions

Last Sunday, a ride at an amusement park in India malfunctioned, putting many lives at risk.

The carousel crashed to the ground, leaving many people injured from the fall.

According to Business Insider, the ride was a “drop tower” and was one of the main attractions at Mohali Park.

A video of the incident was tweeted by a local reporter named Nikhil Choudhary.

Nikhil wrote that at least 16 women and children were hospitalized following the incident.

A total of 50 people were on the trip.

Fortunately, no deaths were reported.

According to The Hindustan Times, several children as young as 10 were being treated at Fortis Hospital, which is a medical facility near the amusement park.

Organizers revealed that it was a technical problem that led to the incident.

Amit Talwar, who is the deputy police commissioner of Mohali, has called for an investigation into the matter and pledges to take strict action.

Police said the amusement park was due to end on Sunday, but organizers had secured an extension until September 11.
